My work experience includes many years working in my local library in the UK, and teaching English at tutorial centres and schools in Hong Kong, for which I have developed my own materials. Previous students have given me some very good feedback on my challenging and effective teaching methods and my ability to explain the material. Furthermore, I was a teaching assistant at The Chinese university of Hong Kong for a short time as part of a PhD programme there.
Language and linguistics is a passion of mine, and I enjoy teaching and discussing related issues with children and adults. I am very professional, but also friendly and approachable. My advanced studies in linguistics, and my focus on syntax and phonetics, in particular, means I can explain the details of English in a detailed and fun way.
As well as studying language, I also enjoy going to the cinema and playing games. I particularly enjoy local Hong Kong films, which I have been a fan of for many years.
