Hello! My name is Belinda, otherwise known as ‘Bel’, ‘Miss Bel’ or ‘Miss Lotz’. I am a professional, creative, spontaneous, organized, committed, a good communicator, a team player, loyal, dedicated, adaptable, happy and energetic. Teaching has given my soul so much satisfaction. Since 2014, I have been engaged in a teaching career. I completed children’s teaching qualifications in Australia and I enjoy so much, seeing the wonder of children learning, developing and growing. In addition to children’s teaching qualifications and experience, I completed CELTA. CELTA enhanced my teaching skills, and allowed me to be confident in teaching all aspects of native English as a second language. It also provided me with the opportunity to teach adults, which I enjoyed equally as much as teaching children. I am very dedicated to facilitating purposeful and engaging learning experiences and lessons to any age group. Prior to teaching, my background of working in a corporate environment has given me the ability to communicate with ease, on a business level. I am easily able to adapt my teaching style and learning experiences to support students’ individual interests and enquiries to learn about particular topics, in various genre. Likewise, my studies and experience of science, health and holistic medicine has influenced me to believe in the importance of a healthy connection between body and mind, to improve concentration and comprehension. My teaching style embraces an awareness of this. Where appropriate, I like to share with my students some of my many passions which include: my business background, cultural experiences, creative activities, a love for animals, being involved in the wider local community, charity work, health and fitness, family, and caring for and preserving the environment. I have also travelled in more than 30 countries, and I really enjoy indulging in cultural experiences. My goal for every student that I teach, is to become a strong, confident, independent and capable communicator/being in the world, no matter what their purpose. Through observing my students, documenting learning, engaging my students in discussions, and keeping a personal diary, it allows me to regularly reflect on my own teaching practice. This enables me to constantly improve and develop myself, and my teaching skills. I also enjoy being inspired by other teachers’ practices and enthusiasm, and I embrace training, further education and learning opportunities. I love teaching and I look forward to meeting you and new students willing to learn English online.
